Debit Card Block in Florida and North Carolina:
(October 2008)
Due to a
recent surge in counterfeit debit card activity
coming out of Florida and North Carolina, we are
temporarily blocking non-PIN transactions from those two
states. You may, however, continue to use
your debit card in an ATM machine.
We apologize for any inconvenience
this may cause you.
If you are headed for either of these states, we
suggest you purchase traveler's checks prior to
leaving or make sure you have a credit card for
"card swipe purchases".

dropped the fees and made it another free member
service.

Fee Reductions:
(12/29/2006)
The board of
directors is please to announce reductions in
the following fees:
1. ATM Withdrawal Fee - Rather than
2 free withdrawals per month at
non-HEFCU ATMs, the $1.00 withdrawal fee has been
eliminated.
2. Monthly Low Balance Fee Revision:
fee only applies if "Average Daily
Balance" (rather than the actual "balance") falls below
$100.00.
3. Excessive Withdrawal Fee Revision:
(Coming in March/April 2007)
We are developing a software program that will change
the balance
requirement from "balance" to "average daily balance"
to read: You are
authorized 4 free in-office withdrawals per
quarter, if your average daily
balance falls below $100.00, there will be a $5.00
excessive withdrawal
fee for each additional in-office withdrawal that
quarter.

Reduction announcement,

Block on
All Foreign ATM\Debit Card Transactions
(3/29/06)
Until further notice, we will no longer
accept ATM or Debit Card transactions from any
foreign country. This includes foreign-based
Internet transactions.
This action is being taken in order to protect
our members' accounts from the latest "card
compromise" and the resulting increase in
fraudulent card activity via foreign ATMs and
foreign retailers.
This action is proactive and is
not in response to any fraudulent activity
or losses at our credit union.
